I was wondering what algorithm is used to extract the genre from an nfo. My first guess would be that a script scans for a line containing "genre", but on the other hand some groups use a different caption etc. So how does it work?

yes. it looks for line "genre" or "style". caption doesnt mean, because it scans in case insensitive mode. if it cant find genre or style it gets marked as Unknown. if you are uploader, you can edit your nfo and set manually proper genre
